Thomas Armaly is the Managing Director and Founder of VEA Properties, bringing over 12 years of hands-on experience as a property operator, investor, and operations executive across the U.S. and international markets.
Over the course of his career, Thomas has built and managed large-scale rental operations, including overseeing the launch of 18 markets, supporting 900+ listings, and helping scale platforms through periods of rapid growth and acquisition. His background spans short-term, mid-term, and long-term rentals, with a deep focus on systems, operations, vendor management, and owner experience.
While Thomas spent years managing hundreds of Airbnb-style properties, VEA Properties represents a deliberate shift toward a more boutique, owner-first model. After working at scale, he saw firsthand where traditional management breaks down, excessive tenant interruptions, reactive maintenance, bloated fees, and owners losing visibility into what’s actually happening at their properties.
In parallel with his professional roles, Thomas has been a property investor and landlord for over 12 years, owning and operating rentals in multiple U.S. states and Mexico. That dual perspective of operator and owner shapes how VEA Properties works today. Every system, communication flow, and maintenance process is built with the mindset of someone who has their own capital invested.
Thomas specializes in mid-term (30+ day) and long-term rentals, where stability, care, and operational consistency matter more than nightly turnover. Jose Marrero is a Managing Partner at VEA Properties and a licensed REALTOR® with over 15 years of experience in South Florida real estate. His background spans residential sales, investor representation, property inspections, and transaction oversight across Miami-Dade and Broward counties.
Jose began his real estate career in 2006 and has spent the majority of his career working directly with property owners, buyers, and investors, guiding them through acquisitions, lease transitions, and operational decisions with a strong emphasis on compliance, clarity, and long-term value. His experience includes managing and inspecting hundreds of properties, coordinating repairs, and navigating complex transactions, including large-scale post-storm recovery following Hurricane Irma.
As a bilingual professional fluent in English and Spanish, Jose plays a key role in bridging communication between owners, tenants, vendors, and licensed brokerage partners. His ability to clearly explain processes, expectations, and next steps helps reduce friction and ensure smoother operations throughout the property lifecycle.
At VEA Properties, Jose’s role focuses on market insight, leasing compliance, between-tenant coordination, and licensed real estate support when required. VEA fills the gap between traditional property management and hands-off ownership, especially for mid-term and long-term rentals where consistency matters most.

I built VEA Properties after spending years inside large-scale properties and hospitality operations. Managing hundreds of units taught me a great deal: how to build systems, scale teams, and maintain operations across multiple markets. But it also showed me what gets lost when management becomes too big: personal accountability, clarity, and alignment with owners. As an owner myself, I didn’t want a company that treated properties like inventory. I wanted one that treated them like investments.
VEA was created to sit in the middle ground, not short-term hotel-style management, and not hands-off long-term neglect. Most owners I work with don’t want daily phone calls or surprise maintenance issues, but they also don’t want to give up control or pay a percentage of their rent for services they don’t need.
